Nude in the City
An abstract expressionistic series with a slight twist on our idea of a cityscape. Each city has a nude interwoven into the buildings and the structures. A challenging experiment in the balance of two genres; while at the same time, expressing the singular loneliness we can experience in a city of millions.

Gallery 2
Nudes
A sampling of styles portraying the human form in its bare essence. From abstract expressionism to an abstract scraped style, which simultaneously immerses the figure into the environment while holding structural elements. The collection is finished off with a marble style that wraps the figure anatomically as if they were partially fossilized

Gallery 3
Musicians
A collection of musically inspired pieces. Starting with heavily textured cement scraped renditions- transitioning into a unique style combining elements of rusted metal with abstracted figures, signifying the transitory nature of organic life and the impermanence of existence.

Gallery 4
Waterscapes
A collection of various styles of water scenes. The pier paintings are primarily taken from pictures of the Manhattan beach pier in southern california. There is a progression from more realistic and impressionistic- to pointillism and into a unique marblistic approach.

Sport
This collection focuses on the marblization of figures and forms. Expressing the fluidity of motion in athletics with the free flowing nature of marble. What better case study exists than one of the most prolific college program of our generation. Aaron has also been influenced by this southern california program's alumni and fans.

Gallery 6
Figures
A sampling of pieces documenting figures in various states of contemplation ranging from a more realistic approach- to a style of color block abstraction and a scraped approach.

Gallery 7
Graffiti
This is one of Aaron's more recent series reflecting his Los Angeles surroundings and it's wall markings. A partial fusion of the cubist approach along with the more contemporary graffiti look coined Graffubism on a few of the works here. The cubism in the picture is meant to portray the tangibility or solid nature of things we can control or think we can anyway and the graffiti is meant to reflect the nature of the intangibles of life. Together making for a symbiotic ying and yang. Or the nature of the mathmatical left brain approach to life coinciding with the right brained emotional aspects.

Abstract Work
This group of paintings includes a couple of abstract series. The bus stop series was completed when Aaron was living in an agitative setting and it shows in the scraped brush work style. The three bus images come together to form a large Triptych. The yoga series is a continuation of the marble approach with a deeper emphasis on abstraction as well as a heavily textured approach with wall paste. The motion of the figures poses coincides with the environment of the colors and energy surrounding them. There are various storylines with all of the paintings which could each be discussed in length.

Gallery 9
Landscapes
A mix of works mostly portraying the environment with a realistic and impressionist brush along with a couple more abstract looks at the landscape. Mostly painted from scenes in the Los Angeles hills and valleys of Big sur in southern california.

Gallery 10
Animals
A handful of paintings of animals. One favorite being the lion. Expressionistic in approach.
